updates

So, what have "The Brandon's" been up too? Well lets see. I stayed home the weekend of July 10 and Thomas went to Fort Payne to help his did do some things around his house. We (when I say we it really means Thomas) have been working on the guest bathroom. We got a new light for the bathroom and when Mr. Electric came to the house to fix our attic fan he put that new light up too! It updates that bathroom so much. We painted last night so we just need to put another coat on....Can you Guess what color?? YELLOW!!! It's like the yellow house inside in and out!! LOL. When the hole house get done it will be better and not as much YELLOW!!!! I got the zebra shower curtain from pottery barn and I have some other ideas for the bathroom. I can't wait for my vision to come together and I can show it off!!! Last weekend we went to Fort Payne so I could attend a wedding shower. My friend Crystal is getting married in Sept. I just love her and wish I could do more for her. She lost both her parents at 19. How sad is that. I don't want I would have done if my mom wasn't at my wedding and helping me plan. I'm just trying to be there for her and help in anyway I can. She is such a giving, wonderful, sweet, and loving person. Her soon to be Hubby is a wonderful person too. They make such a great couple. We got to eat dinner with them both Friday night and I spent the day with Crystal Saturday. While Thomas help his dad. She got lots of gifts - took 3 cars to get everything back to her house....LOL!!! Still can't wait to see the bacon cooker in action. I have had dreams about that thing.

This past Monday was my grandmothers birthday. She is such a sweet person and so 1940's can of lady. I just love her so much and wish I could visit with her more. No words can explain the type of person she is.......

Today - Wednesday I have a spa day that Thomas planned for me. I will be leaving work at 3:00!!! It can't come fast enough. I went and ran this running trail Tuesday afternoon with a co-worker who is a big runner (She says she hasn't ran in over a year - REALLY because you passed me....). But, I finished the 3 miles even if I walk the last mile and a half. But, I am hurting today from that run!

This weekend we are working around the house. It's crazy - I have been trying to clean out closets and what is funny my way of cleaning is not like everyone else. I like to take EVERYTHING out and then clean and put back....so we have clothes EVERY WHERE. I have got to finish this this weekend because we will be on the move the next 7 weeks and won't have time.

If anyone is in town Saturday night we are going to Sports Page to listen to Uglistick!!! Hope to see some peeps!

What's up?

Ok, so it has been a while since I have posted. Not much new just going to the beach a lot and finishing the ceilings in the house. Towards the end of June we went to the beach to met up with our "honeymoon" friends that we met last year. We finished the ceiling in the guest bathroom - We hope to have it painted by this weekend and put back together. Then we took mom to the beach over Forth of July weekend. It's been a busy life but, we like to "live up" while we can!!!

What have you been doing you ask?

Well lets see......The time I posted was early May........I went to see Sugarland in the rain......

Went to the beach.....

Help some friends move (this was really move not pack, move, unpack.....) some stuff....sorry no pics of this......
And Hosted some baby showers....

This week we are getting our ceilings done and that should be done today!! I will post some pics of what we have been living in later.....We also leave for the beach for the weekend!!!!

In my thoughts is Shelana Dorn - Her grandmother passed away this morning and I just pray she is strong during this time. Love you Shelana!

Well lets start with this past weekend.

It has been crazy raining around these parts. And anyone who knows me I don't like bad weather. Friday around 5:00 (leaving work time) the bottom came out of the sky. My sweet hubby picked me up at the door at work (which still go wet) and drove me to my car at the back of the parking lot. He gets out and gets into my car to drive home because I didn't want to get out in the rain again. He is the BEST!!! Well, the roads are flooding and I/we were only driving like 10mph. It took us 45 mins to get home on a 10 min drive tops. It was crazy. Of course we were leaving for my graduation in "lower Alabama" but, we needed to pack and we didn't want to leave until the rain stop a little. As we were talking in the bedroom about what we need to pack and what the plan was we hear a dripping noise. Yes people we had a leak in our ceiling. So we had to move all the stuff out of the living and into the dining room. I called a good friend of mine to come check on the house since we will be gone all weekend. But, that was not good enough for Thomas. He went to check it out and found where the water was coming from. He calls his dad and tries something - didn't work, then goes to Lowe's to get something else - didn't work. Don't forget we need to leave for "lower Alabama" tonight. To make the long story short we finally left the house for the 3 hours car ride at 9:00pm. It was a long day that was for sure.

Saturday - My mom calls me to eat breakfast at 8:30am. Footnote she had ask the night before and I told her I will be sleeping but, Thomas said he would eat with her. Somehow I had to go....After breakfast nap time (note we didn't get into the hotel until 11:30 then had to deal with high school kids tearing the place down....like I said long story.) Then off to graduation. We had to be there by 1:00 so it was good to see everyone from class and all happy and not stressed. After our not even hour long graduation (which was wonderful!!) we went to eat with my parents. Below I have some pics!

This week we have been busy - We both haven't left work before 6:00 all week. Last night we went over the The Webb's new house and got to visit with some great friends and went to dinner.

This weekend - Big plans!! This Friday is Thomas's b-day so we are going to ATL. His uncle Mike are taking us out to dinner Friday night and to the Comedy Club which will be so much fun! Saturday - Six Flags here we come - Let's hope for no rain!!! Then on our way home we will stop in Fort Payne and Arab to visit with the mothers!!!

Today is a very special person's birthday - Kristen.

Happy birthday to Kristen. I was going to write all the things that Kristen is but, since Melissa already did that and I agree with her on all accounts. I will write about what Kristen means to me.

Kristen and I have been best of friends for a long time. We went to the same school however, we didn't really hang out but, would say "hi" to each other in the hall. After school ended we become very close. I remember to this day calling her at like 1AM to come pick me up at "The nets" (a hang out spot in Arab). Of course no questions ask here she came......At this time she was prego with Carson (HELLO she is a much better person then I am.....I would be like "this better be good because I'm getting out of bed") So, she came and we drove around for hours and listen to Tiffany "I think we're alone now...doesn't seem to be anyone around....." I had to leave my car at "The net" until everyone was gone.....I "thought" I was making my "X" wonder where I was because my car was there but, NO ME......WOW I tell you what I was "SMART". LOL. That was during the time of my high school boyfriend break up. Then we lost touch for a couple of years and during a VERY HARD time for me she comes into my life again. Just at the right time, Like an angel. And we were BFF. We would go out and made some of the BEST memories I have of the two us. As I type this and "replaying" some the memories I can't help but, laugh and smile (and think "What were we thinking). During this time I owe her my life and I will always be grateful for everything that she did for me during this time. No one will EVER understand what she did for me. She was my strength, my rock, and most important HONEST with me when everyone around me was lying. THANK YOU Kristen - I owe you more then I could ever give you. Then she got married to Josh (which I was so upset.......My "sidekick" was getting married) But, If she was happy then I was happy for her. Long story short she means the world to me and we have been in UPS and DOWNS together and our friendship just gets better. We are "somewhat" honest with each other (Ok, so I have to tell you K10 I just got a address stamper a couple of weeks ago....lol. But, you know it won't be me if I didn't have two of everything. Thomas likes the one you got us more anyway!!!!!! LOVE YOU!!) OK, so we are very honest with each other!!!!! Since I was an only child I look at Kristen, Jessica (her sister) and Hayley as my sister. They are the closest thing I have to ever having a sister. I look forward to many new memories as we grow older!!!!!

Well, today I have been really busy and doing WORK?? Which I hate when people just hand it off. Example someone has e-mail the "old PCO" and they sent a message please send all requests to Teri Brandon......REALLY! I don't know anything about this new project and the person wants me to "please advise" - I HATE it when people do that. Just tell me what the problem is and I will try to fix it. Don't say "please advise" I can advise but, it may not be what you need.......

Last night - We had something really crazy happen to us. Thomas and I are looking into expanding our house (our house not family). We need to get a tree cut back and we (Well, Thomas) called a place I found in a mail out. So he called and left a message saying "My name is Thomas Brandon and I was wanting someone to come look at tree that needs to be cut back and a price. My number is ___" Well we were outside and we got a message. We listen to it and it's this guy yelling at us about something we have no idea. He saying he is going to call the BBB and how dare us call him. He wants his $3,000 and he will be taking us to court and calling the cops on us. And then he stats something about and "your wife". Ok people I yell at a lot of people but, I remember who I yell at. So, I tell Thomas you need to call that number back. He did and the guy starts yelling at him some more.......I was like Thomas tell him your name. He did and then says I think you have the wrong number. I haven't had any work done on my house. Then he asks what his name was and it's the guy we called from the mail out. Thomas was like "man I called you to come out to my house to price trimming a tree back" He was then like "I think I may have the wrong number...then goes on to I hope I can still do business with you" I was in the background saying NO! Thomas told the man My wife wasn't please with the message that was left and she doesn't want to do business with you......If I had my own business and I was owed $3,000 I would be upset too. However, I would not leave what kind of message that guy left. He treated us and our family (well the guy who owned him money). I was so MAD about it and I WISH Thomas would have let me get the phone. I would have told a few things. And if I had a couple thousand dollars around I would take him to court...With that message the guy he is after can take him to court. I swear people don't think sometimes.
