rain.

Well, dinner last night was wonderful ofcourse I was late because my hair appt. latest until 5:30pm. They sang the birthday song to AJ which was pretty funny because the cook behind us was broken it down dancing. After dinner we rushed home to Day 4 of P90X the one I hate (Yoga X) it's an hour and a half workout. We lasted 30 mins until I got sick from all the food intake from Tokyo. So we just stopped and will do it Sunday along with our other workout (great 3 hours of workout on Sunday...looking forward to it). Anyway, I weighed myself this morning and let's just say I will be working out more to make up dinner last night, tonight and tomorrow night. I got up this morning before work and ran on my treadmill. Thinking it would make me feel better about eating so much last night. Well it didn't. Oh well......So onto events and news.

Tonight I'm meeting up with about 12 girls for dinner at Surin!!! I just love that place and haven't been in such a long time. I am counting down the hours until I can leave. However, I have a few stops to make on my way there.

After dinner depending on the time Thomas and I may go bowling with Nicole and AJ (Happy Birthday you old man...he is a B-I-G 24).......Just depends on everything. Then after bowling we will need to do Day 5 of P90X (Legs & Back and AB X) and address all 150 Christmas Cards.

Saturday I am thinking about running in the 5K but, I think it will be cold and raining so I'm just going to "pretend" I signed up and run at home on my treadmill. Then I have to do something around town (it's the last weekend before Christmas), mail my Christmas Cards, get stamps (I need to start a list), wrap my gift for my work party, workout Day 6 of P90X and ofcourse attend my work Christmas party where I will have to give a speech.....but they will have an open bar!!!!

Sunday will be around the house - wash clothes, finish up all my sewing/craft projects and picking up around the house. And ofcourse Day 7 of P90X.

Next week I'm going to "try" to work 3 10's so I only have to work 2 hours on Christmas Eve. And Christmas Eve is PAYDAY for me!!!!

nothing new

Really nothing new. Just looking forward to the weekend. T and I have started doing P90X and we are in Day 4 (Yoga X tonight). I'm not looking forward to downward dog, warrior, child pose, and whatever he give us. Just not a Yoga kind of person and our workout tonight is 90 mins. Will I make?? Only 87 more days to go on P90X!! Which I am losing weight and hope to get to my goal weight by the end of it. Wish me luck! We timed it just right we will finish our P90X the day before we leave for our Ski Trip so we will be in shape and need a week off! This after I'm getting my hair done and then meeting AJ & Nicole at Tokyo for AJ's b-day Dinner. T and I are looking forward to some Tokyo and ofcourse seeing AJ & Nicole. Tomorrow is Girls Night Out Dinner at Surin and I can't wait to see everyone and have a drink! Then Saturday morning have a few places to run and then it's my work Christmas Party. I'm also thinking about running in 5K but just THINKING - I will figure that out Friday. I have never had a work Christmas Party and I can't wait. Open bar, free dinner, dirty Santa, and band. Yeppie! Sunday I will just relax and hopefully get all my wrapping done because it will be really busy next week. How is everyone doing on Christmas shopping?

I really don't have much to say today other then I am almost finished with all my Christmas shopping. I just have a few things to pick and then onto wrapping!




T and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Sunday afternoon was with my family at my grandmothers house. We stayed to catch up with Chris and Jana and then went over to Mom's house to pick up a few things she got us. Next was Wednesday night with the Brandon Family for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time and play a game with Scott, Katie, Freda, and Robert until midnight. Anna Kate told us we needed to use our inside voice because she was trying to go to sleep in Nana's room. We got back to Huntsville on Thanksgiving Day around 3:00ish and was off to get our Christmas Tree at Wal-Mart but, our South end Wal-Mart didn't have any. I was so upset because we were going to be so busy that weekend that we weren't going to have time but, we got one Sunday night. Below is a picture from "The Hair Shop" the kids did at Thanksgiving.

I recently was asked to be apart of a bunco group in Huntsville and we had our 1st meeting a couple of weeks ago. I met 11 new people that night and had a wonderful time!!! Our 1st "real" game is next month and I can't wait!!! I also had another girls night this past Friday with my good friends Shelana, Dana, Tab, and Brandi. It's crazy how we just talk to night away. We always find so much to talk about and then the next time we look at our watch it's 11:30 at night. Saturday was a fun day with The Akins (without the cat lady drama). T got up to watch Preston play at 10:00am and I went to pick up a few Christmas gifts then met them for lunch. Katie and I went to the Marketplace in Hampton cove for some shopping and then back to Preston's game. After we finished with that we went to "Target" (the kids with Nana and Poppy) and Katie and I went to try to adopt this cat from New Leash on Life. Well, they didn't like the fact that Katie lived an 1 1/2 away and that they couldn't do a home visit. And the lady who keeps the cat is this old lady who had never had kids or married so you can image. I'm not going to get into this because it will only make mad again. So, they didn't get the cat (because you know Katie can raise 4 kids but, she just doesn't know how to raise a cat to live it's full life). WHATEVER. We also went to see the lights which was wonderful!!! Stopping on our way home for dinner. Saturday was a long day we were so tried. Sunday we were lazy!!!

Aug 2009

We had a Wedding Shower for Crystal & Nick and then the World's Largest Yard Sale in Fort Payne. Which we had someone run over Thomas's parents mailbox. I was in the middle of the road yelling "Stop Her" "Get her plate number". I call the cops with the plate number but of course they didn't do anything. Then off to Nashville for some FUN TIMES!!! Then the BIG 10-year with my AHS high school friends!! Not many came but it was still a great time!!! Then Thomas and I went on our 1st cruise to the Bahamas. It was SO PRETTY and FUN!!!. I also changed jobs in the middle this busy August. Below are some pictures.

Sept 2009

Sept was also a busy month for us. We had Crystal and Nick's wedding which I was wedding planner and director (aka "the boss). It was a stressful weekend (more stressful then my own wedding). Then off to Nashville again for Jessica's Birthday. It was fun to hang out with Kristen, Josh, MM, and Jessica however, I wasn't 110%. I was sick all week and still wasn't feeling very well that weekend. But I was a trooper!!! Then it was off the T-town for some Alabama football. The hotel room was not the best but, we still had a wonderful time with Courtney and The Skippers!!

Oct 2009

Oct is always a sad month for me because my Mimi passed away in Oct a couple of years ago and I'm still trying to get over it. It's crazy I can still hear her voice and smell her. When I'm stress I will just ask her to be with me and then I smell something that smells just like her!!! It's crazy. We made a trip down to the Shrimp Festival. It was very hot and rained on us for a little bit. We just had fun getting to see everyone. Then comes Halloween. We were invited to an adult Halloween party which was loads of fun. It was 2 am before we left! Time flies when your having fun. Then our normal Trick or Treat at Gigi's. It was nice to not have to worry about going to work the next day!!!!

Nov 2009

November has been pretty quiet. On my day off for Veterans Day (Thank you veterans for everything you do for our freedom!!) my mom and I went shopping. I got a few Christmas gifts!!! Then that Friday we left for Green Bay. We were going to visit a couple we met over a year ago on our honeymoon! They had Green Bay tickets for us and we had such a great time with them. AJ was the cook all weekend!!! It was our 1st NFL game and I we LOVED it!!! Then this past weekend we had Thanksgiving at my grandmother's house!!! Love her food!!!! Upcoming events - Brandon Family Thanksgiving tonight. Getting a Christmas tree and getting the house ready for Christmas!! Then the BIG GAME!!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

So, what have "The Brandon's" been up too? Well lets see. I stayed home the weekend of July 10 and Thomas went to Fort Payne to help his did do some things around his house. We (when I say we it really means Thomas) have been working on the guest bathroom. We got a new light for the bathroom and when Mr. Electric came to the house to fix our attic fan he put that new light up too! It updates that bathroom so much. We painted last night so we just need to put another coat on....Can you Guess what color?? YELLOW!!! It's like the yellow house inside in and out!! LOL. When the hole house get done it will be better and not as much YELLOW!!!! I got the zebra shower curtain from pottery barn and I have some other ideas for the bathroom. I can't wait for my vision to come together and I can show it off!!! Last weekend we went to Fort Payne so I could attend a wedding shower. My friend Crystal is getting married in Sept. I just love her and wish I could do more for her. She lost both her parents at 19. How sad is that. I don't want I would have done if my mom wasn't at my wedding and helping me plan. I'm just trying to be there for her and help in anyway I can. She is such a giving, wonderful, sweet, and loving person. Her soon to be Hubby is a wonderful person too. They make such a great couple. We got to eat dinner with them both Friday night and I spent the day with Crystal Saturday. While Thomas help his dad. She got lots of gifts - took 3 cars to get everything back to her house....LOL!!! Still can't wait to see the bacon cooker in action. I have had dreams about that thing.

This past Monday was my grandmothers birthday. She is such a sweet person and so 1940's can of lady. I just love her so much and wish I could visit with her more. No words can explain the type of person she is.......

Today - Wednesday I have a spa day that Thomas planned for me. I will be leaving work at 3:00!!! It can't come fast enough. I went and ran this running trail Tuesday afternoon with a co-worker who is a big runner (She says she hasn't ran in over a year - REALLY because you passed me....). But, I finished the 3 miles even if I walk the last mile and a half. But, I am hurting today from that run!

This weekend we are working around the house. It's crazy - I have been trying to clean out closets and what is funny my way of cleaning is not like everyone else. I like to take EVERYTHING out and then clean and put back....so we have clothes EVERY WHERE. I have got to finish this this weekend because we will be on the move the next 7 weeks and won't have time.

If anyone is in town Saturday night we are going to Sports Page to listen to Uglistick!!! Hope to see some peeps!

What's up?

Ok, so it has been a while since I have posted. Not much new just going to the beach a lot and finishing the ceilings in the house. Towards the end of June we went to the beach to met up with our "honeymoon" friends that we met last year. We finished the ceiling in the guest bathroom - We hope to have it painted by this weekend and put back together. Then we took mom to the beach over Forth of July weekend. It's been a busy life but, we like to "live up" while we can!!!

Well lets see......The time I posted was early May........I went to see Sugarland in the rain......

This week we are getting our ceilings done and that should be done today!! I will post some pics of what we have been living in later.....We also leave for the beach for the weekend!!!!

In my thoughts is Shelana Dorn - Her grandmother passed away this morning and I just pray she is strong during this time. Love you Shelana!

Well lets start with this past weekend.

It has been crazy raining around these parts. And anyone who knows me I don't like bad weather. Friday around 5:00 (leaving work time) the bottom came out of the sky. My sweet hubby picked me up at the door at work (which still go wet) and drove me to my car at the back of the parking lot. He gets out and gets into my car to drive home because I didn't want to get out in the rain again. He is the BEST!!! Well, the roads are flooding and I/we were only driving like 10mph. It took us 45 mins to get home on a 10 min drive tops. It was crazy. Of course we were leaving for my graduation in "lower Alabama" but, we needed to pack and we didn't want to leave until the rain stop a little. As we were talking in the bedroom about what we need to pack and what the plan was we hear a dripping noise. Yes people we had a leak in our ceiling. So we had to move all the stuff out of the living and into the dining room. I called a good friend of mine to come check on the house since we will be gone all weekend. But, that was not good enough for Thomas. He went to check it out and found where the water was coming from. He calls his dad and tries something - didn't work, then goes to Lowe's to get something else - didn't work. Don't forget we need to leave for "lower Alabama" tonight. To make the long story short we finally left the house for the 3 hours car ride at 9:00pm. It was a long day that was for sure.

Saturday - My mom calls me to eat breakfast at 8:30am. Footnote she had ask the night before and I told her I will be sleeping but, Thomas said he would eat with her. Somehow I had to go....After breakfast nap time (note we didn't get into the hotel until 11:30 then had to deal with high school kids tearing the place down....like I said long story.) Then off to graduation. We had to be there by 1:00 so it was good to see everyone from class and all happy and not stressed. After our not even hour long graduation (which was wonderful!!) we went to eat with my parents. Below I have some pics!

This week we have been busy - We both haven't left work before 6:00 all week. Last night we went over the The Webb's new house and got to visit with some great friends and went to dinner.

This weekend - Big plans!! This Friday is Thomas's b-day so we are going to ATL. His uncle Mike are taking us out to dinner Friday night and to the Comedy Club which will be so much fun! Saturday - Six Flags here we come - Let's hope for no rain!!! Then on our way home we will stop in Fort Payne and Arab to visit with the mothers!!!

Today is a very special person's birthday - Kristen.

Happy birthday to Kristen. I was going to write all the things that Kristen is but, since Melissa already did that and I agree with her on all accounts. I will write about what Kristen means to me.

Kristen and I have been best of friends for a long time. We went to the same school however, we didn't really hang out but, would say "hi" to each other in the hall. After school ended we become very close. I remember to this day calling her at like 1AM to come pick me up at "The nets" (a hang out spot in Arab). Of course no questions ask here she came......At this time she was prego with Carson (HELLO she is a much better person then I am.....I would be like "this better be good because I'm getting out of bed") So, she came and we drove around for hours and listen to Tiffany "I think we're alone now...doesn't seem to be anyone around....." I had to leave my car at "The net" until everyone was gone.....I "thought" I was making my "X" wonder where I was because my car was there but, NO ME......WOW I tell you what I was "SMART". LOL. That was during the time of my high school boyfriend break up. Then we lost touch for a couple of years and during a VERY HARD time for me she comes into my life again. Just at the right time, Like an angel. And we were BFF. We would go out and made some of the BEST memories I have of the two us. As I type this and "replaying" some the memories I can't help but, laugh and smile (and think "What were we thinking). During this time I owe her my life and I will always be grateful for everything that she did for me during this time. No one will EVER understand what she did for me. She was my strength, my rock, and most important HONEST with me when everyone around me was lying. THANK YOU Kristen - I owe you more then I could ever give you. Then she got married to Josh (which I was so upset.......My "sidekick" was getting married) But, If she was happy then I was happy for her. Long story short she means the world to me and we have been in UPS and DOWNS together and our friendship just gets better. We are "somewhat" honest with each other (Ok, so I have to tell you K10 I just got a address stamper a couple of weeks ago....lol. But, you know it won't be me if I didn't have two of everything. Thomas likes the one you got us more anyway!!!!!! LOVE YOU!!) OK, so we are very honest with each other!!!!! Since I was an only child I look at Kristen, Jessica (her sister) and Hayley as my sister. They are the closest thing I have to ever having a sister. I look forward to many new memories as we grow older!!!!!

Well, today I have been really busy and doing WORK?? Which I hate when people just hand it off. Example someone has e-mail the "old PCO" and they sent a message please send all requests to Teri Brandon......REALLY! I don't know anything about this new project and the person wants me to "please advise" - I HATE it when people do that. Just tell me what the problem is and I will try to fix it. Don't say "please advise" I can advise but, it may not be what you need.......

Last night - We had something really crazy happen to us. Thomas and I are looking into expanding our house (our house not family). We need to get a tree cut back and we (Well, Thomas) called a place I found in a mail out. So he called and left a message saying "My name is Thomas Brandon and I was wanting someone to come look at tree that needs to be cut back and a price. My number is ___" Well we were outside and we got a message. We listen to it and it's this guy yelling at us about something we have no idea. He saying he is going to call the BBB and how dare us call him. He wants his $3,000 and he will be taking us to court and calling the cops on us. And then he stats something about and "your wife". Ok people I yell at a lot of people but, I remember who I yell at. So, I tell Thomas you need to call that number back. He did and the guy starts yelling at him some more.......I was like Thomas tell him your name. He did and then says I think you have the wrong number. I haven't had any work done on my house. Then he asks what his name was and it's the guy we called from the mail out. Thomas was like "man I called you to come out to my house to price trimming a tree back" He was then like "I think I may have the wrong number...then goes on to I hope I can still do business with you" I was in the background saying NO! Thomas told the man My wife wasn't please with the message that was left and she doesn't want to do business with you......If I had my own business and I was owed $3,000 I would be upset too. However, I would not leave what kind of message that guy left. He treated us and our family (well the guy who owned him money). I was so MAD about it and I WISH Thomas would have let me get the phone. I would have told a few things. And if I had a couple thousand dollars around I would take him to court...With that message the guy he is after can take him to court. I swear people don't think sometimes.

weekend recap.

Thomas and I stayed around Huntsville this weekend. Friday night we went to visit Gigi (which she got to go home on Saturday). Like every other day we went to visit it was 9:30 before we left. Saturday morning I got up and started washing clothes (True Life.....The Brandon's) and getting ready for AJ and Nicole. Thomas went to play golf with AJ. So, Nicole and I went to get out "toes done" and shop for a little. We then get a call saying go pick up the dogs we are spending the night with them. So we went to pick them up and as we were driving back to my house I remember I don't have any keys to my house. So, we call them and they are on hole 14 so we went to Petsmart and walked around. Then to pick them up (a lot in between but, to much to type). Then we started making dinner ate and everyone went to sleep watching TV. It was a long day for everyone. Thomas gets up at 5:30AM and starts watching TV (HELLO! not a good idea when your wife is still asleep) I told him to go to the computer and let me sleep. Then made some lunch and watch the race. By the time the race went off my shows were coming on......It was a fun weekend it just went by TOO FAST!

Monday - I had lunch with K10 and Melissa!! It was fun to catch up on everything and I got a cool gift from K10! Thanks girl!!! I can't wait to use it! I have been trying to watch what I eat and since I could not fit in any of my shorts this weekend and will be going to the beach in a couple of weeks I will be drinking water and eating salads or soup (well I get ONE coke a day...lol)..............We are going to sign up to a gym tonight so wish me luck on losing 20 pounds!!!!

Friday - I just love Friday's!!!! I always look forward to the weekends. Last night Thomas stayed with Gigi so I had the house to myself. I didn't know what to do.... I washed some clothes and put some clean clean clothes up. I'm sure Thomas's dad and uncle will be staying with us some this weekend so I will rush home after work to pick up the house. I so need a maid again.

as the hours turn.

Here I am at work waiting and watching for the clock to turn 5:00. I have once again done nothing today at work. Well, I did work for a little bit but, why should I rush myself to get something done when it doesn't matter and my boss hates me no matter what I do?? Whatever I do I can not please her. So, I think again why should I try?? I mean I have blogs to read, photo books to make, craft ideas to get, and shopping I can all do from my computer and get paid for...HELLO!!! This afternoon I will be going to Hallmark (my fav place) to pick up all the cards I need for May. I also need to pick up something for mom my for mothers day. We have already got Freda's gift......Hey people I have nothing to do at work......I have already got most of all the gifts for all the baby showers we will be having to attend this summer and wedding gifts....What did people do before the web at work??

This week has been a busy week outside of work. Gigi has been in the hospital for the past 12 days. She went off the deep end the other day saying crazy things because she was getting of the meds and that is a side effect. She was saying she ran away and that she is staying in this apartment (please note she just move from ICU to a normal room..lol) for free for 3 nights. She said they just gave it to her because of how she was mistreated (which she was not...it was all a dream). The Dr.'s were staying in the yellow house.....She said she was only 15 mins aways from home and wanted her purse so she could just leave. The nurse said you are more then 15 mins. away...Gigi says "I may be dumb but, I'm not blind lady" (my fav).....lol. Well, she is back to her old self and not saying crazy things anymore so that is good!!! But, I did like the FREE comedy act.

This weekend nothing really planned just staying in town to keep an eye on Gigi and watch the Race. Maybe one day I will be able to go again. A picture of the good times.

Well, since the last time I have posted it has been busy. I thought when I got out of school and finally finished I would have more time on my hands. Well, that hasn't been the case but, I enjoy being busy. We had a great and busy Easter weekend with the family. Also, Friday night I was girls night Dinner in Arab. We have had such a busy couple of weeks. Friday night Thomas went out with one of his friend's (Alex) downtown. I dropped them off and then at 2AM went back and picked them up. Things have changed since I was last there. It was so funny watching everyone leave Sammy T's and I was thinking "that was me" back in the day. Here are some pics of my Sammy T's days.....

When I got to downtown, the road I always take was closed so I did get lost (Hello! How long have I been going downtown and living in Huntsville??) but, that is another issue for another day..... So I finally got to them and pick them up and headed back home. By the time we got home is was around 2:30AM and we had to get up REALLY early the next day!!!

Saturday - Was moving day for Kristen and Josh. So we headed to Arab @ 8AM that morning. It was a long day and we are stilling hurting from all the moving. But, It was a fun day. Us girls (Melissa, Kristen, and me) gossip the hole time we were moving (it's called multi-tasking - Josh!). When I said we would help move I thought the meaning of "move" was load the truck and unload the truck.....However Kristen defines the word "move" as packing the house, load the truck, unload the truck, and put away!!! I will remember that when they ask us to help next time! BTW - We will be at the beach that weekend (not sure what weekend it will be but, I'm sure we will be out of town....lol). We didn't get home until 10:45pm that night but, we were active and not being lazy so that was good!

Sunday - We got up around 9AM and went to the Spring Market. I love crafts and getting new ideas. I plan to go again next year!! We had some lunch then headed back home to wash clothes and get ready for the week.

This week has been busy but, slow. Have you ever had one of those weeks? I wasn't busy at work just surf the web, facebook, and anything else I could do for my 8 hours. I left during lunch to go home and sew. I had 7 towel wraps to monogram for my friends wedding party gifts. So, I finished those and I'm very please with them. I hope she likes them!! I will post a picture soon....If you have monogramming needs let me know I will be happy to do it! Then I had to do some bibs that Jessica gave me. I got about half of them done during the week then last night my needle kept breaking so after the 2nd needle I was done for the night....Maybe I will finish the other half next week. Again I will post some pictures!

Weekend plans - Well, it's Easter and we have a busy weekend. Thomas left for Fort Payne this morning around 6:45AM. He is getting new tires put on his car and getting something fix on the inside. Then he is going to help his dad do some stuff around the house. GiGi (Thomas's Grandmother (His dad's mother)) is in ICU. She has been having trouble breathing. They found a blood clot around her heart so they gave her some meds to help with that. They will look at it again in 6 weeks and go in and shock her heart. So, Thomas stop by to see her in the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts. I have plans with some girls for dinner in Arab tonight and I can't wait!! Then I'm off to Fort Payne. I plan on getting up and shopping around Fort Payne to use some of my gift cards that we got for our wedding (I'm not a good gift card person I hold onto them forever....lol) and I hope to drop off the towel wraps to my friend. Saturday is also Brandon Family Easter so we will get to see the fam and then watch Preston play baseball that evening. Sunday church with his parents and then off to Arab to see my fam. It's stressful just writing it down.......Then I need to wash clothes and clean the house sometime (we will be getting our maid back after I pay off my credit card which will be at the end of May!!)...I'm tried just looking at everything we have to do this weekend.

Well, this will be my 1st blog. I have been reading many blogs lately and just decided to start on yep. We don't have a very interesting life but, it's "OUR LIFE".....

This past weekend we just stayed at home. Friday was Thomas's off day so he help our friends (The Webbs) move into a new house!! The house is so cute and we can't wait to visit when everything is put in its place. My mom came by after her sewing class Friday night and we worked on some of Halle Grace's bibs. Saturday we were just lazy. We had such a busy week with this being the end of the year here at CSC and just getting back from Breckenridge, CO and I was feeling very good all week. Sunday was the same. It was so nice to just stay at home and spend time with just each other. We did however make a list of things to do on Monday....Which one was call some roofing people to see about getting a roof. So today (Tuesday) we are meeting with two of them to get some estimates. Maybe we will have a new roof soon!

Today I have been thinking of some cute ideas to get the little ones. Thomas and I want to do something for all the little ones for Easter so do you have any ideas??
